Shape is recruiting a Project Manager for the National Disability Arts Collection and Archive (NDACA).
NDACA will bring to life the heritage story of the Disability Arts Movement, a radical arts movement in which a group of disabled people and their allies broke barriers, helped change the law and made great culture about those struggles.
NDACA is collecting and preserving these radical stories both digitally and physically. Currently in its second year of project delivery, April 2018 will see the opening of the uniquely accessible NDACA research facilities at Buckinghamshire New University, and the launch of the NDACA website, which will provide a series of interactive learning resources, opportunities for a new generation of disabled artists, and more.
The project is funded by Heritage Lottery Fund, Arts Council England, and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, and is facilitated by Shape Arts and Buckinghamshire New University.
This is a fixed term contract to 31 October 2017 with potential option to extend to 30 September 2018; 1 FTE (5 days a week). Options for flexible working arrangements.
£35,000 + pension (up to 3% employer contribution) & enhanced leave package.
