Salary: £26,000 per annum
Location: Flexible (either Grasmere, York, Newcastle, Altrincham or Manchester)
Contract: Permanent, full time or part time

Here at the National Trust, we understand the importance of influencing the planning system in accordance with our statutory purpose, in order to safeguard special places, but at the same time by regarding conservation as the careful management of change. These are busy and exciting times, and we are expanding our Planning team in order to take on the challenges facing us.

Under the guidance of a senior planning colleague, you will provide expert advice, across the Northern Region portfolio of properties, on local planning and development management issues. You will be able to tackle a wide range of issues from nuclear power stations to listed buildings, from National Parks to urban greenspace.

We are looking for a suitably experienced planner who can demonstrate that they share the Trust’s Core Values and Behaviours. You will have a particular knowledge of, and interest in, rural planning, landscape, heritage, coastal issues and sustainable development.
