@HeritageChat – A Twitter Chat for the Heritage Sector

Editor News

Heritage2020 is seeking input for a proposed historic environment sector Twitter chat, #HeritageChat. The chat would be held monthly, using @HeritageChat, with the intention of creating a focal point for discussion within the historic environment sector. It is hoped that this will increase the opportunities for the sector to contribute directly to the action areas of Heritage2020, the aim of which is to strengthen partnerships and collaborative working across the sector. Early thoughts are that some of the #HeritageChat topics will be led by Heritage2020, but others will be run by other individuals or organisations. You can see how a #HeritageChat might work on the Heritage2020 Get Involved page.

Currently, Heritage2020 is looking for indications of interest, both from those who would be interested in taking part in a monthly #HeritageChat by following the chats online or tweeting during the hour-long sessions, but also from organisations who may wish to host one of the monthly sessions. From 10th-16th August, Heritage 2020 – @heritage2020 – shall be running a Twitter poll for those who would be interested in following and tweeting to see how much interest there is in the idea. For organisations interested in hosting a #HeritageChat, or to suggest potential topics for a #HeritageChat, please email Caroline Peach at heritage2020@theheritagealliance.org.uk.
