Lambeth Council: Activities Coordinator for Norwood Cemetery

Lambeth Council is looking for an Activities Coordinator for Norwood Cemetery who can look outwards and identify new audiences for the cemetery.

The role will be on a 3-day basis for 18months fixed term contract (pro rata salary of £34,254)

This is an exciting opportunity to join our project team and help us bring new audiences into West Norwood Cemetery and assist in leading on the design of an activities programme, that will enhance the current visitor and volunteer experience. The cemetery is one of the “Magnificent Seven” Cemeteries built in Victorian times and is one of the prize assets in Lambeth, with dozens of listed monuments. The project will, in collaboration with the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Friends of West Norwood Cemetery, bring in significant investment funds to ensure the cemetery’s future; with a key focus on heritage, habitat and an inspiring offer to all kinds of visitor.

We are looking for someone who can look beyond the funerary business and identify new opportunities as well as design and coordinate activities that mean the wider community will cherish this wonderful place.
