Wellington Heritage at Risk Project Manager

Editor News

Taunton Deane Borough Council and Historic England are seeking the services of an experienced Heritage Project Manager with expertise to lead the conservation management programme of a number of high profile regeneration heritage at risk projects in Wellington, in particular Tonedale Mill and Toneworks, which are the best preserved examples of historic textile manufacture in the South West of England. This is a new post and is an exciting opportunity to forge diverse partnerships to take forward a number of specific heritage projects.

You will be an enthusiastic and motivated professional and will have managed multidiscipline cultural projects, ideally focussing on the repair, adaptation, re-use and interpretation of historically significant buildings. Communicating to and engaging multiple stakeholders from different backgrounds and organisations will come naturally to you, alongside exemplary verbal and written communication skills. Your track record should demonstrate a range of skills from providing research and advice on initial concepts, through strategy design, detailed feasibility analysis, project implementation and evaluation with a focus on achieving specific outcomes.
