Creative Industries federation ‘Global Talent Report’

The Creative Industries Federation’s has published its ‘Global Talent Report’. It outlines the crucial role that international talent plays in the UK’s creative industries and why we must have access to the brightest and best from around the world if we are to remain the global leader in this sector.

The creative industries face severe skills shortages and find it difficult to attract and retain the international talent they need to succeed. This skills crisis will be exacerbated should freedom of movement end after Brexit – a decision our sector does not endorse.

The report notes our evidence that the heritage sector needs access to workers with traditional skills to maintain historic and traditional buildings and the fact that we will continue to need to draw on skilled labour from EU countries in order to undertake this specialised work.
