The Alliance recently met with the team working on heritage within the Department for Communities and Local Government. We raised many of the issues set out in our Heritage Manifesto and elsewhere, including interim protection – see below for the latest on this.
We stressed the importance of ensuring that heritage protection is not inadvertently damaged by the push to solve the housing crisis. We also asked that details of the revised NPPF, expected next year, are published as soon as possible with ample time for consultation.
