The Diocese of Ely, with support from Historic England and the Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust, is seeking to appoint a full time Historic Church Buildings Support Officer to work with the diocese’s historic churches in Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk. The role will focus on the challenges of maintaining and repairing historic church buildings, many of them listed at Grade I, in contexts ranging from urban and suburban Cambridge and Peterborough, through the diocese’s diverse complement of market towns, to the sometimes remote churches of the Fens. Enthusiasm, commitment and excellent communication skills will be vital attributes for all candidates.
