If you are looking to for a delightful and inspiring setting in which to demonstrate your fundraising skills then you need look no further! We are an award winning, internationally recognised Living Museum and have celebrated the grand opening of our stunning new facilities in May 2017. The museum comprises 50 historic buildings and gardens. Set in 40 acres of the beautiful South Downs National Park, the museum attracts around 150,000 visitors each year with a varied and exciting programme of events.

We are looking to engage an enthusiastic and target driven Development Manager with expertise across a wide range of funding streams to bring professional and innovative approaches to the Museum’s income development, both capital and revenue.
In addition, the Museum has recently been awarded an HLF Heritage Endowment Grant. We need to raise up to £0.5m of our own funds over a fixed period with a specific focus on a legacy programme.

The successful candidate will need to possess a strong background in fund raising. A key priority will be to create a new Fundraising Strategy, with a clear action plan for delivery and stewardship. You will need to demonstrate team working and motivating skills, ease with corporate and private marketing events, together with strong negotiating, networking and presentation skills. Proficiency in relevant IT packages is essential.
