We are looking for an Experienced Chartered Engineer with current knowledge of legislation relating to building services with the ability and passion to champion and promote English Heritage’s sustainable environmental policies. You will have the experience to provide support and guidance in the challenges of designing and installing
 
In this new role you will be the professional lead for all aspects of Quantity Surveying. The Professional Services Team provides specialist services support to all Estates Teams to help develop standards, provide professional oversight and input to work programmes, whilst ensuring quality outcomes for the maintenance, repair and conservation work and for the capital investment projects undertaken.
We are looking for an experienced Chartered Quantity Surveyor with substantial recent post qualification practical experience in a commercial environment and relevant Conservation and Historic Environment experience. This role is based in Swindon but will require frequent travel to various sites.
Familiar in working at a strategic and senior level you will need to hit the ground running and relish the opportunity to drive this new role forward for the benefit of our estates.
Your natural leadership and proven team management skills will be easily recognisable. A confident communicator is a must for this post. Excellent works procurement practices coupled with a deep understanding of contract management will be key to your success.
You will be passionate about getting value for money and able to demonstrate strength in cost control and be confident in all aspects of risk management.
You will be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with substantial recent practical experience and have worked with Senior Managers.
Interviews will be held week beginning 19th March 2018.
