Icon, The Institute of Conservation [Alliance member], has launched a new policy and advocacy webpage as a part of its main website. Icon is a membership organisation and charity which brings together those with a passion for the care of cultural heritage. The webpage includes information about Icon’s policy and advocacy work with copies of recent consultation responses, statements and letters.
Icon identified advocacy as one of its three priority areas in its Strategy 2017-2021. Through advocacy and policy, Icon aims to extend its influence as a strong voice for conservation, to promote the value of high quality conservation and to become an authoritative source of information on conservation in practice, policy and the profession.
