Role: Strategy and Partnership Adviser: Historic Environment

Salary: £26,584 – £31,697

An opportunity has arisen within our historic environment team to work at the Lake District National Park, a newly inscribed World Heritage Site. We need creative and inspiring individuals to work on historic environment projects across the National Park.

This is an exciting time to join us, we are developing a new Historic Environment Strategy and if you have experience of some or all of the duties outlined below we would love to hear from you.
Typical duties could include:

responding to planning enquiries, consultations and agri-environment schemes;
maintaining and enhancing the Lake District Historic Environment Record;
Helping to maintain our Lake District Archaeology Network (70 volunteers undertaking archaeological work across the National Park);
Contributing to the development of projects (including HLF projects);
Organising and managing Conservation area appraisals;
Assisting with work on our Partnership Plan and Local Plan;
Contributing to our Heritage at Risk and conservation work;
Devising a Local List.
