Salary: £21,500
Based at The Old School, Heckington, Lincolnshire

Are you an archaeologist who enjoys working with volunteers and community groups? Would you like to help develop and initiate a wide variety of community archaeology projects? Do you have a general love of all things archaeological – ranging from the earliest prehistoric period right up to the Cold War?

Heritage Lincolnshire is returning to its core values as a county based charity – to place people and places at the heart of its work. This post is vital to the successful delivery of our aims and objectives in securing public benefit from archaeological fieldwork and research. From archaeological finds discovered through the planning process, to academic research, to working directly with local archaeology and history groups, there are many opportunities to offer hands on experiences that can be enjoyed by all. We want to provide quality, enriching experiences for a diverse audience and you can help us!

If you have experience of working on community archaeology projects and would like to use your knowledge and skills working for Lincolnshire’s only countrywide heritage charity, this is an excellent opportunity! The role will also work as a pivotal key member of our team of 30 staff, working with and alongside over 250 volunteers to deliver our charitable objectives.
