Paddington Development Trust (PDT) is recruiting a Trainee Heritage Officer to join a friendly and growing team delivering its prestigious community and cultural regeneration project at St Mary Magdalene’s Church, Paddington. The ‘Mary Mags’ redevelopment project involves conservation of the church, and the building of a new Heritage and Community Wing alongside it.

The Paddington’s Living Heritage at St Mary Magdalene’s Project celebrates local people’s heritage and culture alongside the broader stories of Paddington’s development and the heritage of the church. The Trainee Heritage Officer position offers invaluable experience of working on a community-focused heritage project. The trainee will have the opportunity to learn about community co-creation projects, engaging the community with local history, interpretation, community archives and cultural programming.

Applicants should be educated to graduate level or equivalent, be able to illustrate a clear interest in heritage and the arts, and some work or voluntary experience in a heritage setting and/or on a community project would be an advantage.
