DCMS has published the results of its Community Life Survey 2017-2018. The survey included a range of interesting statistics such as:
- 22% of those surveyed volunteered formally at least once a month,
- 75% gave to charity in the 4 weeks before completing the survey,
- 38% undertook some form of civic participation at least once in the last year,
- 26% of respondents agreed that they are able to influence decisions affecting their local area, and
- Nearly two thirds (64%) of people surveyed took part in either formal or informal volunteering in the last year.
