DCMS have published a feasibility study investigating the options for evaluating long-term outcomes of the National Citizen Service programme. Long-term outcomes for participants that were under consideration include;
- Go on to have higher educational outcomes
- Form broader social networks
- Get more involved in activities that benefit others
- Be more involved in political processes and contribute their insights to public debate
- Have the confidence, connections and attributes to make te most of opportunities that present themselves
- Go on to have higher levels of social trust
- Feel a greater sense of belonging, both on exiting the programme and in the future.
