Up to £38,000pa depending on experience fixed term until March 2023
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be involved in what is potentially a career defining role, managing the delivery of an ambitious regeneration project in the Greater Grimsby Heritage Action Zone. The first phase is delivery of the Partnership in Conservation Areas (PSiCA) grant scheme to repair, restore and re-use the unique buildings within the Kasbah area which is the most recently designated conservation area in England and houses the largest collection of historic fishing industry related buildings in the country. With more than 70% of the historic and unique buildings vacant the project will provide enhanced opportunities, improved access to the area and its promotion. The post holder will also develop and deliver other significant heritage outcomes working with partners and securing funding to bring forward other large schemes including the grade II listed Ice Factory.
You will need relevant experience managing regeneration projects. Membership of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation or a similar professional body is desirable and a working knowledge of Historic England/Heritage Lottery Funding programme would also be advantageous.
Applicants will need the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and experience of engaging with a diverse range of audiences and stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes.
