Following the release of the revised NPPF in July, the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government has made the following adjustments and revisions to sections of their Planning Practice Guidance:
new Plan-making guidance
a revised edition of the Housing Need Assessment
new paragraphs added to Neighbourhood Planning relating to protections for neighbourhood plans and sustainable development; and
new paragraphs added to the Housing and economic land availability assessment about the 5 year land supply.
MHCLG has also released its most recent Planning Update Newsletter including information on the newly revised National Planning Policy Framework, Planning Practice Guidance and the consultation on permitted development for shale gas exploration.
