On October 26th, Sara Crofts was announced as the new Chief Executive of the Institute of Conservation (ICON) [Alliance member], starting in January 2019.
Trained as architect, Sara has been working at HLF as Head of Historic Environment for the last three years and previously served as Deputy Director of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB). From her past experience, she gained diverse skills, ranging from fund raising to project management, as well as a broad network of connections in the heritage sector.
