The newly published “Historic Environment Update” deals with the following issues:
• The new Ecclesiastical Exemption (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) (Wales) Order 2018 (will come into force on 1 January 2019), which will make some important changes to the ecclesiastical exemption regime in Wales;
• The forthcoming guidance Managing Change to Listed Places of Worship in Wales: the Ecclesiastical Exemption (expected in November);
• The new publication Understanding Listing in Wales, which explains how to ask for a building to be listed or delisted, and how to request a review of a listing decision;
• The Priorities for the Historic Environment of Wales set out by the Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport;
• The consultation on Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
