Pay: Pay Band 7: £26,406-£33,112 (plus London living allowance of £3,300 for candidates appointed in London)
Contract length: 14 months

The Cultural Protection Fund is a £30 million initiative with the aim of creating sustainable opportunities for economic and social development through building capacity to foster, safeguard and promote cultural heritage affected by conflict overseas. It has 12 target countries in and around the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Grants managers consider proposals for projects focussed on the cultural heritage of these countries, where there is a demonstrable risk associated with past, current or potential future conflict. They also monitor and manage the risks associated with a dynamic portfolio of ongoing projects.

To be considered for this role, it is essential to meet the following minimum criteria’s

  • Heritage related degree or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable experience within the cultural heritage sector and knowledge of current practice
  • Experience of grant-making and/or project management
  • Experience of writing analytical reports and presenting information verbally in a formal setting
  • Experience of  working in an international context or with different cultures
  • You will be expected to travel within UK either once a month or every 6 weeks. There might be international travel required either 2 or 3 times in a year.  Therefore you should have the willingness to travel in UK and internationally for meetings and events.
