EU Guidance on Travel and Tourism in the Event of No Deal

The Tourism Alliance has highlighted the EU’s new guidance document on the implications of a “No Deal” Brexit on travel and tourism between the UK and the EU.  While much of the information mirrors what has been published in the  UK “No Deal” guidance,  it provides insight as to how EU countries are being advised to treat UK nationals post-Brexit etc. For example, it details the additional checks that will be made to process UK nationals at the border.

communication on contingency planning has also been produced to advise EU member states as to how the EU will develop and implement any contingency measures that may be required to cope with a “No Deal” scenario. EU member states are being advised not to enter bilateral discussions and agreements with the UK and that any measures deemed necessary will be developed centrally for implementation by all EU members.
