A report by Arts Council England has concluded that young people in schools are “overwhelmingly positive” about the process of creative writing. This marks a success for the £1.2m Creative Writing in Schools (CWiS) programme, which aimed to increase the number of high-quality creative writing opportunities in the curriculum, especially in areas of high deprivation and low arts engagement.
