The Heritage Volunteering Group has created a survey to explore the scale, nature and impact of heritage volunteering. They have said that over the past ten years there has been little research done into ths area, which has limited our understanding of the impact volunteers have within the heritage sector.
The survey covers topics from demographics to volunteer roles and seeks to provide information on how heritage professionals can better understand volunteering in their organisations and across the sector.
