Ecclesiastical is today the only financial services group that exists to give its profits to charity. On Tuesday 23 April, the company will be launching its Movement for Good Awards, which is a programme designed to give £1million directly to charities “that are changing people’s lives for the better”.
The giving programme has two funding categories: £,1000 awards, which will be awarded to 500 charities, (open for nominations from 23 April – 17 May), and £50,000 grants, which will be awarded to just 10 eligible charities with an income of less than £5million, (open for nominations from 17 June – 26 July).
Ecclesiastical has said: “We’re proud to be doing things differently. To be giving back to the communities we serve and championing the issues that really matter to them – working together to build a movement for good.”
