Join Historic England and be a part of an exciting Pilot project focussed on delivering and evaluating the maintenance and community engagement of listed places of worship. This is both a practical project to help those who care for places of worship, and a research project that will provide evidence to inform how resources are focussed in the future.
As Fabric Support Officer you will provide practical advice to people responsible for listed places of worship, building their confidence in dealing with historic fabric with limited resources. You will help them develop achievable maintenance plans and identify essential urgent repairs, working closely with the rest of the project team and colleagues in Historic England to enable appropriate access to the Minor Repairs Grant Fund. This role will require travel and some out of hours working.
