Chelsea Physic Garden (CPG) [Alliance member] has been awarded Development Funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) towards restoration of its range of 1902 Foster & Pearson teak and cast-iron glasshouses. Working towards a NLHF Round Two submission in August 2020, CPG wishes to procure the services of experienced and skilled consultants to develop a Living Collections Conservation Plan (LCCP). This will support the future care and development of the Garden’s plant collections and the glasshouses that house them.
Founded in 1673 by The Worshipful Society of Apothecaries of London, CPG is a Grade 1 listed botanic Garden, dedicated to teaching and discovery. The LCCP will need to take account of CPG’s wider heritage assets and unique, historic significance to provide a clear framework for the Garden’s future development.
Work will mainly be carried out between August 2019 and April 2020. If you would like to know more, please contact Sue Saville, CPG Project Development Manager, or follow this link to the Brief/Tender Document and supporting information.
