Cultural Heritage Innovation: Opportunities for International Development

A report recently published by the UK’s National Commission for UNESCO highlighted the UK’s role in the cultural heritage sector celebrating its world leading innovation and its eminence in heritage science and research.

The report also elaborated upon the ways in which the UK could make a greater contribution, particularly to advance the economic and social welfare of Official Development Assistance (ODA) countries. The report also makes mention of the ways in which the UK’s cultural heritage sector makes important contributions to the UK Government’s international development objectives and to the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
