The first, ‘Energy Efficiency and Traditional Homes’, considers energy efficiency improvements in traditional homes from a planning system perspective.
The consultation will be open until 13 September 2019. All responses should be sent to governmentadvice@HistoricEngland.org.uk
The second is ‘Managing Lithic Scatters and Sites: archaeological guidance for planning authorities and planners’. The document offers guidance on techniques to extract the most from the lithic resource at every stage of the project.
The main issue being investigated is whether the draft consultation clearly explains the potential of lithic site records and defines the sources which can be accessed for further information and advice on the prospection, evaluation, excavation and recording of the lithic source.
