Councils invited to apply for the Local Digital Fund

The next round of applications for the Local Digital Fund, which helps boost services has opened. The funding is used to improve public services for residents through innovative uses of digital technology. Councils are expected to work together to do this.

The opening of the application process was announced on 19th August by Government Minister Luke Hall, and they close on the 16th September 2019.

Grants of up to £350,000 will be awarded from the Government’s Local Digital Fund.

In 2018. Sixteen projects were awarded grants of up to £100,000. Some of last year’s projects included using data analytics and artificial intelligence to create education plans for children with special needs.
