Between the 21st and 25th October, International Charity Fraud Awareness Week will encourage charities to have conversations about fraud and share the best practices to avoid it.
The campaign is being led by a coalition of over 40 charities, regulators, law enforcers. Representative bodies and other not-for-profit stakeholders from across the globe. The week aims to raise awareness of the fraud risks within the sector, to share counter-fraud practices, and to promote candidness about fraud. One easy way to get involved is over twitter using the hashtag #CharityFraudOut.
As part of the week, the Charities Against Fraud Awards 2019 will celebrate the achievements of anti-fraud heroes within the sector. Any individual or team that has demonstrated an innovative approach in tackling fraud can and is encouraged to enter.
