As part of the Design Advice team you will produce case studies focusing on the creation and development of our outdoor accommodation facilities across the National Trust.

The Trust currently has nearly 40 bunkhouses, 9 bothies and an eclectic mix of 21 camping and caravan sites. In line with the Trust’s strategy to create experiences that move, teach and inspire while getting visitors closer to nature, a programme to expand our camping and glamping offer is in place.

Design Guide case studies make an important contribution to sharing and learning within the Trust. They provide a channel for us to demonstrate good practice in our thinking as well as showing positive solutions.

What’s involved?

• Researching, collating and writing user-friendly case studies following an agreed template.
• Contacting people within the National Trust to gather project information.
• Conducting property visits to gather project information, if necessary.
