Church of England – Invitation to tender for the Bats in Churches project evaluation

Editor News, Vacancies

The Church of England is seeking to appoint a consortium or evaluator for the Bats in Churches project. The appointee will work with the team throughout the project, culminating in production of a summative evaluation report in December 2023.

The five-year (2019-23) Bats in Churches project is multi-stranded and complex, spanning training, volunteering and community engagement; bat ecology and heritage conservation.

The evaluation of this project will require a wide range of ecological, heritage and public engagement skills that are of equal importance. We therefore welcome proposals from consortia who come together specifically for this project and consultancies that can demonstrate the necessary range of expertise.

The Archbishop’s Council of the Church of England is letting the evaluation contract on behalf of the Bats in Churches partnership. The partnership comprises Natural England, Historic England, the Church of England, the Churches Conservation Trust [Alliance member] and the Bat Conservation Trust.

If you would like to submit a bid for this project, please contact Honor Gay honor.gay@churchofengland.org or Diana Spencer diana.spencer@churchofengland.org in the first instance.
