Katy Haigh
Policy Officer, The Heritage Alliance

Katy is a Policy Officer at The Heritage Alliance, working as part of the Policy and Advocacy team. Katy has over six years of experience in a wide range of policy areas including education, consumer affairs, health, and sustainability.
She has spent time as a researcher in a Higher Education membership organisation, on secondment as an analyst in the (then) Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy, delivering research projects on behalf of the Scottish consumer advocacy body, and, most recently, managing sustainability-focused parliamentary groups as part of a cross-party think tank.
Katy’s interest in heritage began during her studies at Oxford University, where she earned a BA(Hons) in Art History. She’s excited to bring her research and advocacy experience to the heritage sector, fostering good public policy debate to protect the UK's irreplaceable cultural and environmental assets.
