100 places podcast

Editor News

Historic England has launched the first in a series of podcasts in their campaign to mark the places that made England’s history. The podcast features the top 10 ten places judged by Professor Robert Winston in the science and discovery category, which includes the cholera pump in Soho, Bletchley Park and Jodrell Bank.

The new podcast series is hosted by TV and radio presenter Emma Barnett as she explores the 10 selected places and how they’ve changed the world.

Historic England’s year-long campaign, Irreplaceable: A History of England in 100 Places, is sponsored by specialist insurer Ecclesiastical, and is calling on the public to nominate the places that help tell our national story. Find the podcast here.
