The Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt announced that 10,000 of the public will march past the Cenotaph on November 11th 2018 to celebrate the centenary of the Armistice. A ballot is now open for the public to apply for tickets, which will be allocated in pairs. Those whose application is successful will march down Whitehall to lay wreaths at the Cenotaph.
At the same time, the Government is encouraging bells to be rung across the country, to replicate the outpouring of relief that took place following the 1918 Armistice.
