Salary Range: £28,400 – £31,980 per annum including London Weighting (depending on experience and performance)

The Barbican Centre & Guildhall School of Music & Drama are seeking an Archives Project Officer to join the team as we assemble the Barbican Archive in preparation for the Centre’s 40th anniversary in 2022.

This exciting project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund will tell the story of the entire Barbican complex from the shared histories of the arts centre, the Guildhall School and the residential estate to their construction and iconic design, to the remarkable histories of the artists who have been trained, exhibited or performed here.

This 12-month part-time role will see this role deliver a range of collaborative activities with our Creative Learning Department and Archive Curators, alongside assisting the development of the next phase of the project.
We are looking for someone who is
Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about 20th century arts, architecture & archives.
An excellent oral and written communicator.
Experienced at delivering arts programmes and events, particularly with widening participation audiences.
Experienced at budgeting and reporting for (preferably HLF) grants.
Capable of working independently and proactively across departments in a large organisation.
Practised at supporting and developing major grant bids.
