A new Heritage charity based in West Norfolk is seeking a Treasurer. The Building Crafts and Conservation Foundation (BCCF) is recently-established in order to develop a range of Built Heritage-related courses and activities working with the College of West Anglia and other partners.
The BCCF has grant funding and are into a programme of major fundraising for the refurbishment and fitting out of a large barn on a West Norfolk Estate, which will become the centre of the BCCF operations, as a Heritage Skills Centre. They now require a Treasurer, familiar with the operation of charity finance and fundraising, with preferably an interest in Built Heritage.
Initially, the post would involve a suitable honorarium but as BCCF grows, the ability to monitor and control substantial funds for a diverse operation including employment of staff, would be essential. Hours per year to be discussed. It is not a requirement that the post-holder lives in West Norfolk.
