English Heritage cares for over 400 historic monuments, buildings and places across the UK. They champion historic places, helping people to understand, care for and enjoy them, now and for future generations.

Joining the Estates Department and based in London you will play your part in helping to maintain, repair and improve the historic and iconic buildings English Heritage cares for.

The Building Services Mangers primary purpose is to provide high quality conservation maintenance and facilities service for the National Collection of Historic Properties.  It is a busy and varied role which makes every day interesting.

You will have a passion for working with others and enjoy being a part of a busy team and responding to changing priorities. As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable building rapport with Senior Managers, Team Managers and all Estates staff. You will have a passion for historic buildings and monuments and understand the specialist care and attention they require. Your ability to manage the administration of measured term contracts and schedules of rates will be put to good use. You will also be expected to prepare clear works instructions and manage the on-going works on site.

You will hold a minimum HNC/HND level qualification in mechanical and /or electrical engineering and or minimum HND or NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a building/construction related discipline and/or equivalent experience.
