The Heritage Alliance’s Spatial Planning Advocacy Group has responded to Building a market for energy efficiency: call for evidence. Alliance members are generally supportive of measures to reduce energy consumption in historic buildings, so long as the advice given is appropriate to the nature, construction and legal status of protected buildings, i.e. those which are listed (including Locally Listed), scheduled or in conservation areas, or classed as heritage assets under the NPPF.
