The Canal & River Trust believe that life is better by water. Set up in 2012 to care for historic waterways across England and Wales, the organisation aims to transform our canals and rivers into spaces where local people can spend time and feel better. Now you can be part of turning that vision into reality. How? By identifying sources of funding for priority projects in their Wales & South West. By generating resources for a wide range of activities. And by supporting their objective to become the charity for waterways and wellbeing.
About the role:
Your job will be to deliver a corporate engagement strategy that helps us raise funds, build brand awareness, and gain wider support for the trust’s work. This will involve cultivating a range of corporate partnerships while at the same time exploring new trends in corporate and leadership giving to ensure the trust has a healthy pipeline for the future. You will also work with colleagues across the Trust to identify opportunities for corporate engagement and to coordinate activities between regions so that the benefits are maximised.
About you:
With an impressive track record in corporate fundraising already under your belt, you’ll know how to secure and manage valuable corporate partnerships and will be able to develop ambitious fundraising strategies that deliver results. You’ll also need a thorough knowledge of fundraising best practice. A key part of your role will be to represent the Trust externally at fundraising activities and events, so it’s important that you have excellent networking and interpersonal skills. Other qualities we are looking for include entrepreneurialism, creativity and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
