The Charter of Turin Handbook is a guide providing practical advice on the delicate subject of restoration and maintenance of historic vehicles. It aims to preserve and safeguard the history of vehicles including their engineering, their form, functions and documented histories as well as their many diverse relationships with society and social environments. This Charter follows from the Venice, Barcelona and Riga charters, which set forth standards for the maintenance and preservation of historically significant buildings, watercraft and rail vehicles.
