The Trust seeks an experienced events organiser to establish and manage a new friends scheme for the Trust, which is the umbrella organisation for ship, boat and maritime heritage organisations in the UK (MHT) and represents the UK on European Maritime Heritage (see: www.maritimeheritagetrust.org.uk).
The part time role is to work with MHT to create and work up an initial programme of visits and events, including members’ vessels, and to develop an ongoing strategy for building Friends membership to support the Trust’s wider marine heritage aims. The Trust is looking for a candidate with a strong track record in this area; an interest in boats and ships would be useful but not essential.
The initial contract will be for 6 months on the basis of one day a week at a fee of £ 5,000 with a potential for extension.
