Heritage of London Trust Operations – Trustee Vacancies in Marketing and Social Finance

Editor News, Vacancies

Heritage of London Trust Operations (HOLTOP) [Alliance Member] was founded in 1992 as a building preservation trust and is a charitable company limited by guarantee. The Trust works across the Greater London area, usually in partnership with local authorities and Historic England, to find new uses for buildings at risk. It assembles grant aid, and oversees the capital works, acting as a professional client. On completion of the project, it either sells the property on, or retains the freehold, leasing it to a local organisation. It steps in where a private developer is deterred by a site’s heritage status, and/or where the cost of heritage-led development leaves a deficit.

HOLTOP is looking for two trustees to join the Board from January 2020. The first role requires someone with experience and expertise in marketing, public relations and communications who can advise the Board on strategies to develop and communicate its messages most effectively. The second role requires experience in social finance with expertise in giving the board advice on crowd funding or community shares, and how best to develop partnerships with social enterprises, and community businesses. You will possess a qualification in finance e.g. in accountancy, banking or investment. These are both volunteer roles. HOLTOP recognise the value of diversity and welcome applications from all backgrounds. To apply, please submit your CV and a covering letter to holtoperations@gmail.com by 12 noon on 10 January 2020.

To find more information about the duties and responsibilities of the roles please see www.holtop.org.uk or contact Celia Mead, Interim Director on holtoperations@gmail.com.
