Heritage Organisations Support New National Housing Design Audit

Editor News

Plans for new homes are taking shape in response to the growing need to deliver more homes across the country. Alongside this has come a loud call for those developments to be of a high standard of design, so that these homes are liveable and sustainable and so more acceptable to local communities.

The Place Alliance (UCL) and CPRE [Alliance Member], with support from Home Builders Federation, Urban Design Group, Civic Voice [Alliance member], Academy of Urbanism, Design Council, UK Green Building Council, and Institute for Highways and Transportation are thus supporting the first ever national housing design audit.

The audit will be completed in the autumn and will feed into the work of the Government’s Building Better, Building Beautiful Commission.
