Historic England launches a competition to explore new approaches to memorialisation

As part of the Immortalised season, Historic England has launched a design ideas competition to explore new approaches to memorialisation. The competition aims to challenge architects, designers, and artists to think about what monuments and memorials they would want to leave for the future. Individuals and teams are invited to submit ideas that help to reveal neglected stories, people, and events from England’s past. Ten proposals from across the country will be awarded £2000 to develop their ideas further for display in a new exhibition opening in September.
