Historic Houses are looking for a bright, pro-active person with technical savvy and marketing nous to join their in-house marketing and development team and help maintain their current rapid rate of membership growth.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Highly literate with superb written and spoken communication skills
  • Experience of creating and running marketing campaigns
  • Experience of writing including websites, articles and blogs
  • Experience managing and publishing on social media accounts
  • Able to work quickly without compromising quality and accuracy
  • Willingness, on occasion, to work irregular hours, attend evening/weekend events, etc.

Preferred:

  • Experience or interest in heritage
  • Experience or knowledge of membership schemes and member recruitment
  • Experience of employment in a marketing role
  • Experience of press or PR liaison
  • Experience of using a website CMS to a high level
  • Experience of the paid/corporate features of major social media platforms
  • Knowledge of how best to use SEO when writing digital content
