Location: London, Swindon, Bristol, York or any principal English Heritage site in central England
Salary: £110,000 – £120,000 per annum plus circa 10% for central London weighting and up to 7.5% PRP (subject to affordability). Full Time.
This role of Historic Properties Director at English Heritage [Alliance member] is responsible for all aspects of the care, management and commercial development of our sites across the country and for our on-site visitor experience. It is also a key role on the team that drives forward and takes ownership of the capital investment programme.
You will lead a skilled and committed national team of over 1,500 employees and 3,500 volunteers through six direct reports, all senior managers in their own right. As well as steering this capable team, ensuring that commercial and charitable objectives are met and developing strategy for future development, you will need to play an active role on the Senior Management Team. All six Directors help to lead the organisation as a whole and it is critical that applicants care about everything English Heritage does.
