Icon’s new Strategy 2017-2021

Icon [Alliance member] has launched a five-year strategy 2017-21.
The strategy strongly emphasises the outward-facing, advocacy and influencing role of ICON. ICON will work in partnership to ensure that the voice of the conservation profession is heard in concert with others.

The strategy supports raising standards in the care of cultural heritage. This includes promoting the value of high-quality conservation with partners and the public and supporting members to learn at all stages of their development and to share their skills and knowledge with others, including allied professionals, trainees and volunteers.

The third strand is around broadening engagement in conservation on the part of a wider cross-section of society, developing new routes into the profession and attracting new members, supporters and friends.
