The Heritage Alliance has recently launched our new and exciting report Inspiring Creativity: Heritage and The Creative Industries, written by Hannah Shimko.
This important report showcases successful collaborations between heritage sites and organisations within the creative industries, sharing best practice and recommendations for both sectors to build better partnerships into the future. It also sets out recommendations for grant funders, Government and policy workers.
The report includes a huge range of case studies, provided by Alliance members and partners, that showcase various aspects of the innovative collaborative work between the two sectors.
Today, we are featuring the case study at Historic Royal Palaces [Alliance member] Embedding innovation: the R&D Studio at Historic Royal Palaces.
This case study showcases some of the artist-led experiences that have had a profound impact on new and existing audiences at Historic Royal Palaces, which have significantly raised its reputation and have opened up new ways to tell its stories. These include the ‘poppies’ and the ‘flames’ installations at the Tower of London.
